The accused, who gave no fixed address, is facing trial on a charge of defilement.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Earlier, Insp. Kehinde Omisakin, told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 20 at No. 1, Samson St., Oke-Odo area of Lagos, NAN reports.
She said that the accused was caught while he was defiling a 9-year-old girl in his residence.
The offence contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (revised).
The Chief Magistrate, Mr A.T. Elias, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N2.5m, with two responsible and gainfully employed sureties in like sum.
The case has been adjourned until July 26, for continuation of hearing.
